Odyssey herbicide is a mixture of two chemicals namely, Imazethapyr and Imazamox which belongs to the chemical group Imidazolinone and acts by inhibiting acetolactatesynthase ALS (acetohydroxyacid synthase AHAS) an enzyme which is important in protein synthesis within the plant. This leads to the disruption of the DNA synthesis and cell growth.
